COMBO FITNESS

COMBO FITNESS

Combo Fitness is a specialized combination of (a) Mat Pilates movements; (b) physical training exercises and (c) yoga that strengthens and works out the entire body. Classes are tailored to the participants' needs and abilities, allowing anyone in any shape to get a good whole body workout.

Various pieces of equipment are used such as balance balls, rollers, free weights and bands. Every class is different, and clients say the exercises make them feel better, stronger, more in control and less prone to injury, as opposed to their gym visits, which left them wiped out.

If you want to get a total body workout and have fun while doing it, Combo fitness is for you. For more information, call 845-641-8775 or write Info@LakesideYogaFitness.com.

PILATES

Pilates is a specialized series of movements using focused breathing patterns performed with special equipment (Pilates) or without special equipment (Mat Pilates). Pilates improves the body's core strength. You may have heard the Pilates Promise: "You will feel better after 10 sessions. You will look better after 20 sessions, and you will have a whole new body after 30 sessions".

Practiced faithfully, Pilates yields numerous benefits. Increased lung capacity and circulation through deep, healthy breathing is a primary focus. Strength and flexibility, particularly of the abdomen and back muscles, and coordination (both muscular and mental) are key.

Posture, balance, and core strength increase. Bone density and joint health improve, and many experience positive body awareness for the first time. Pilates teaches balance and control of the body, and that capacity spills over into other areas of one's life.

Mat Pilates strengthens your core, the abdominals and the spine, and gives a long, lean, sculpted look to the legs and arms.

Pilates has also been found useful in strengthening muscles in the pelvic floor and is beneficial to those suffering from pelvic floor dysfunction or prostatodynia. Pilates exercises can help with the supportive functions of the pelvic floor, keeping the internal organs in the correct place. If the pelvic floor is weak, the internal organs can prolapse, or fall. Pilates is also useful for those suffering with incontinence. In addition, women who exercise their pelvic floor muscles have reported enhanced sexual feelings.

Contact us today at 845-641-8775 or at Info@LakesideYogaFitness.com; we'll be happy to answer any questions you have regarding Pilates or Combo or register you for a class so you can start getting the body you deserve.
