MOMMY AND ME
Mommy and Me classes are for parents with babies ages 6 to 8 weeks up to 15 to 18 months. Classes are
designed with new moms who want to get their bodies back into pre-pregnancy shape or better, but Dads who want to do yoga
and bond with their babies are also welcome.
Parent and Baby Yoga is a program designed to bring flexibility, strength fitness and balance to new
moms through yoga and Pilates as they bond with their infants. You will gain flexibility and serenity through poses and
breathwork as well as gaining strength and tone in abdominals, legs and buttocks. You'll also learn how to relax
overworked necks and shoulders. Age appropriate exercises for your baby stimulate your baby's basic motor skills,
vision and coordination.
And most importantly, Mommy and Me classes give a parent and a baby time to bond, time to play
and enjoy each other's company.
All classes are held live, online in real time via a Skype-like connection; you can use your current webcam and
Internet access device (computer, television, IPad, etc). These type of online, live classes
are especially helpful to new parents. If your baby is fussy, press "mute". If your baby needs feeding or changing during a
class time, you can turn off audio and video until you're ready to join back in. There's no getting your baby ready to take a
trip outside your house with all the transporting of supplies to another location. It's simple, easy and convenient.
You and your baby can start classes as early as six to eight weeks after delivery if you've had a vaginal birth; if you've had a c-section, wait eight weeks and get your doctor's approval before starting.
